DVF S/S 2012 Runway Show

The 2012 Spring/Summer collection from Diane von Furstenberg was rather intriguing.  The pieces seemed to transport viewers back in time to the 1950’s with bold prints, tailored jackets and short suits.  With techno music in the air, the show was underway.

The models wore their hair in buns and edgy sunglasses covered their eyes.  Exquisite wrap dresses with bold prints that are typical DVF didn’t disappoint. The color palette consisted of not only bright shades of green, purple, and cream, but also pastel greens, blues and yellows.  Blazers were well tailored, cropped and left open to expose fun and elegant blouses which were light and airy.  Skirts were typical 1950’s with wide flared bottoms and tulle-like petticoats underneath!

Cropped pants, bold floral and patchwork prints, breezy dresses, and short suits all offer something for every taste!  Dainty strap sandals, masculine flats, small clutches and oversized shoulder bags were all used to successfully pull each ensemble together.

Saw your tweet about this post so had to come look. Did you get to go to the shows since you are in NYC? Would love that!
