Betsey Johnson to me is the oldest teenager aside from Dick Clark and in a MUCH cooler capacity.  As usual her show could barely hold  standing room and if people could have taken seating on the ceiling they would have done that as well.  Usually when attending the shows its the normal fashion editors, buyers, stylists, and friends and family of the collection showing.  Betsey Johnson usually brings these same people adding the fanatical spectators that live to dress in the brand in a big way.  From the babies in little Betsey pieces to the older ladies in tutu’s and corsets, people believe and love what Betsey represents, which in many ways is youth!

Forever young the collection could have been named as it was a pretty fun scene.  To me was allot more feminine then what is normally viewed at the consistently edgy Betsey show.  Models all came down the runway to the playful rap styling of Nikki Minaj who sat front and center next to fashions elite.  In this collection as with many others shown was allot of floral and brocading, all tastefully done and also wearable.  Another thing that I think makes a Betsey collection so dope is whether the looks will be watered down in editing for retail appeal of sold just as.  After viewing this show I’m certain not only will press eat it up, but the looks will be available as is.

The leather pieces were a hit as well, especially the pink, black, and white motorcycle jacket…  That piece in itself sums up the Betsey Johnson brand.  Allowing way for the masculine strength while using colours and silhouettes to give way for the feminine and flirty edge and undertones.  Gladly Betsey isn’t going anywhere for a long time, her legacy and archives would have it no other way.  Legendary!
