Callula Lillibelle. Even the name sounds girlie and fun, and that’s exactly what the collection was. Long flowing dresses, hot skirts, and polka dots everywhere. I’m normally cautious with the use of polka dots, but in this collection they don’t only work, they make the collection. I can picture women of any age in most of these dresses feeling feminine and free.
My favorite pieces in the collection though are the blazers combinations. The way they have paired the jackets with the skirts and shorts is incredible. The colors keep it girlie but the cut is more modern sophisticate. Eric Daman, the stylist for gossip girl, must be jumping for joy somewhere over these looks. His job is done for him here. Blake Lively could rock any of these looks without care.
A collection that obviously skews upper east side girl, but the pieces on their own can be paired to compliment any look in your closet.
