My, my, hey, hey the Perry Ellis Show was just what all the single ladies needed amidst Fall Fashion week 2011! That’s right, hot guys in Clark Kent thick cut frames parading down the catwalk to the tune of Neil Young, it was better than Saturday in Central Park in the summer, it was Sunday in the country with a team of rugby players.

The message to “get back to where we started from” indeed brought back the classics – grandfather shaker sweaters, military style pocketed wool coats and god bless, the turtleneck (because YES men look smoking hot in a blazer and mock neck, especially in October.)

When it comes to men’s fashion there definitely is more to the picture than meets the eye and Designer John Crocco proved it this season as he took us out of the blue and instead of all black into the gray. A knockout pale gray sheepskin coat and a sleek pin-stripe suit were highlights. Not so hot were the bottle green leathers but rather the quilted leather bomber vest and overcoat in creamy butterscotch for the everyman. There were condom style beanies which could have been left out but the chunky socks with pants tucked in grew on us by the end.

Speaking of happy endings we all had one as the men strutted out of their locker room for one final farewell in Perry Ellis thermals plus football jerseys in navy, green, gray, and tan. Post recession for guys looks like London smart with New York street-friendly minus the grunge, which is great for all ages because it’s a look we women love too!
