Carolina Herrera known for her brisk white shirts and classic red lipped smile, gave an amazing and sophisticated collection. Gowns, Gowns, and Gowns, but sprinkle in some prints and day wear and colour your whole wardrobe Carolina. From the loosely tied printed blouses to the tiered gown, simply breathtaking.
Asymmetrical cut gowns in different patterns and prints on a white backdrop screamed day wear glam luncheon and if you didn’t have a chance to change once you get off the plane in St.Tropez, you would still be one of the most dashing in attendance. The peekaboo illusion gowns were quite sexy, but what was innovative and tres surprising was the signature Carolina red with print blocking applied which to me showed the range of the Herrera brand. This I believe was a great way of showing your customer how you too can adapt to current trends without loosing sense of your personal aesthetic.
Its always hard to critique a Herrera show as you can only compare it to the season before. Having said that all I can do is hope that Carolina never drops the ball because shes always so consistently fresh. How one can remain fresh when nothing is new is a feat within itself. Hats off Mrs. Herrera, you’ve done it again!
