By chance- super blogger, Kimmie of Kitten Lounge, and I ended up at the ABSOLUT ELYX launch event last week. Initially we were there to try out the upscale eatery A Voce; but ended up stumbling upon this event with several of our media colleagues in attendance.

Prior to the event starting, the bartender had persuaded us to try the new ABSOLUT brand. I, of course was skeptical. When I was told that ABSOLUT had a new addition, I immediately rolled my eyes and said, “What flavor now?!” Don’t get me wrong, I am all for flavors and there certainly is a market for them… but much like wedge sneakers, and the Kardashian Family; I have seen them so many times, so many different ways… I have grown numb.
I am not even exaggerating when I tell you all from the first sip of ABSOLUT ELYX, my vagina became awakened, lollll. I know, I know… that was both extreme and crude! This particular vodka was so velvety smooth or as the PR team describes it, “luxurious”…. I had to counter attack it with something simple and benign, loll.

Now let’s get down to brass tacks and square nickels… ever since I experienced ABSOLUT ELYX, I have been screaming from the rooftops about it. Everyone I talk to about it says the same exact thing… or rather questions my credibility when discussing the ABSOLUT brand. I literally have to pull up pictures and explain to them that this is new, this is different… this is an anomaly of the ABSOLUTE family. I am a fan of cocktails and the science that goes into them. ABSOLUT ELYX stood alone. Although I will still create cocktails around it… this vodka was so smooth, I felt it coasting through my body.
In a competition between ABSOLUT’s main competitors: Kettle One, Grey Goose, Three Olives… ABSOLUT ELYX is so far out of their league, it is not even worth a conversation. This is Grade A Vodka! ABSOLUT ELYX set the bar so high; it will be a while before anyone can be considered a serious competitor. I am beyond impressed with the new addition. ABSOLUT even created a special bottle design for the ELYX to let you know that they mean business.
