Top 10 Reasons To Go To Universal Soul Circus

tigers

1. The King & Queen of the Soul CircusThe Tigers Simba & Jave and their Tiger cubs India & Asia. It’s always amazing to see big cats during the show… for me this experience was extra special because not only did I get to see them up close, I got to be there for feeding time after the Circus was over. I will never forget that experience as long as I live!

The Tigers perform during the magic show (which was surprisingly not cheesy!)

props

2. The Props– I mean it was cool to see how fast the props were put up between performances… I swear it took them 2 minutes to put them together… or it could be that Mrs. Maggie and Lucky held our attention… either way by the time we looked up the show was back on and it left us wondering, “How did they put that up so fast”?! lolll

smell

3. The Smells– Cotton Candy, Funnel Cakes, Pop Corn, Oh My, lolll! You know imma keep it real with yall… I went to the Circus expecting to smell Horse Shit!!! To my surprise, it was quite the opposite… The tent was filled with these wonderfully scented treats. Although I didn’t purchase any, I observed others enjoying their food.

(side note: My photographer “Chiphon Lebowitz” (Chif-fon) and I hit up Mama Mexico in Harlem afterwards for some Mango Mojitos lmaoooo)

foot-jugglers

4. The Foot Jugglers– You know I was more amazed at their size versus age… some of those little dudes are like 45 years old! Lollll

So I spent the whole performance like wow who knew these little senior citizens could do all this flipping in the air?! Highly Interesting!

crowd

5. The Crowds– Regardless if you were an infant, Senior Citizen, Teenager, or an Adult… WE ALL HAD A GOOD TIME! Like real talk I enjoyed myself! They had segments for audience participation and there were times I laughed so hard my temples hurt!

horse

6. The Horses– They like to smile for the camera, lmaoooo! I took several pictures of this same horse and each and every time he smiled in each photo. The rider let me rub the horse and the horse was like , “Hheeee Heeeee HEeeee” lmaoooo. That is one happy horse!!!!!

divas

7. The Soul Circus Divas– Wowwww larger then life but yet so delicate and lady like! I can only imagine seeing them through a childs eyes…

dancers

8. Trinidad and Tobago The dancers were colorful and if the show was even slightly showing signs of dragging… they definitely came out and did their thing to liven up the crowd!

maggie

9. Mrs. Maggie the Ring Master– Her comedic turn in the ring definitely had us all laughing! I can’t describe what she did… but she has a presence larger then the Elephants or the Tigers combined. She did her job which was be the glue that keeps it all together!

The Staff

10. The Amazing Staff- This picture only captures 3 out of the 200 or so workers that put this show together. I wish I had a group photo, but this will have to do. I was treated so nicely by all the staff and I wanted to take this time to thank them for such a great opportunity! Their hard work, organization, and dedication to the best show on earth shows through in every performance!

    Hi Kitty,

It was nice meeting you Friday, too! I’m jealous that you watched the tiger feeding. After the show, I forgot to stick around and got pushed out with the crowds. I’m still high on funnel cake, I think.

Thanks and returning the favor… You’re now richer.

Also, We went to the uni-ver-soul circus in Kansas City about 5 years ago. Had a freagin ball. One of the stilt walkers almost killed himself on the exit as he slipped and fell of the stilts.

The show kept it moving so I guess everything was ok.
