The Tibi S/S 2012 collection was a wonderful experience! With light and breezy music filling the air, each model strutted down the runway in ensembles that oozed comfort and coziness! Simply put, the upcoming collection is minimalism done right!
Natural hues like whites, creams, mints, pale oranges, golds and taupe were used to evoke a feeling of calm. I was well relaxed watching this show and feeling like each piece would compliment almost anything already in my closet! While most pieces were loose-fitting and light, others offered a bit of structure in the pants, shorts, or blazers. Dresses were flowing and had a simple elegance to them. I was pleased to see that not only were silky, lightweight fabrics used, but also leather which was incorporated to add a bit of texture and drama to the collection.
The models wore their hair pulled back in a loose-fitting ponytail with a side part and their makeup was kept simple and natural. Simple strappy sandals were worn and were with flat or had a low comfortable heel. Little or no accessories were used to style the models which kept with the minimalist theme. Each item in this collection can be the perfect “go-to” piece and a fabulous stand alone piece as well. This was a great collection and fun show to watch!
