The Sound of Music (and KittyBradshaw)

I would like to thank Dove® Hair Care and Rocket XL for allowing me the opportunity to see the New York screening of The Sound of Music.  Dove and Rocket XL truly made my week;  they couldn’t have picked a more enthusiastic Blogger than myself, The Kitty Bradshaw to go see one of the greatest films of all times! As you all know I am a huge fan of classic film… so I was over-joyed to be invited.

I brought along to share my joy, Jokara of Cleosunshine.com, Christen of DivasandDorks.com, and Melissa of OSoChic.com.  Jokara and Christen had never seen the film prior to last night, so I was a little worried they wouldn’t be able to handle the 3 hour-long movie.  However, they naturally fell in love like the rest of the world af ter seeing it.

Now, I have never, ever attended a sing along… well unless we are counting Sesame Street from my livingroom as a child.  I also had to keep in mind that every experience in New York is unlike any other.  Upon arriving, I noticed there were both old and young audience members of all different backgrounds.  A lot of the audience members came dressed up as characters in the movie.  By the end of the movie I felt like we were all part of one big family and the Sound of Music brought us all together.

I enjoyed how the words were embedded into the movie just in case we forgot the lyrics.  We all sang, laughed, cheered on the von Trapps, and boo’d the villans in the movie. 

We all had such a great time!  I will mark this down as one of my best experiences ever in New York! 🙂
