My $13 Atlantic City Vacation

Atlantic City

I was invited by one of my good friends to tag along with her and her family to Atlantic City.  I immediately began a search for the cheapest ways to get down there.  After asking several people, I came to the conclusion that the bus was the best way to go.  I settled upon Greyhound and paid for a $33 round trip ticket.

On the morning of May 10th, I took the subway to Port Authority.  Presented my printed online confirmation at the ticket desk.  Received my boarding pass and was good to go.

My first thought of the passengers was:

*thoughts to self* I thought I encountered all the strange people on the subway, but apparently the strange of the strange catch the Port Authority- Atlantic City bus.

I encountered some aggressive granny’s, some strays, some gambler-holics, some tourist, etc…  In general there were some extreme personalities on that bus.  Lolll @ me being one of them….

So I am on the bus…. after I secure my valuables (yea don’t sleep those granny’s will stick ya), I turn towards the window and doze off…. I swear, it felt like a Sunday afternoon cat nap that lasted 10 minutes.  After that 10 minutes= 2 hours…. I open my eyes and we were there.  The bus driver was like speed racer.  I thought I was riding shot-gun in a Lamborghini, lollll.

Now here is the important part of this post which put a smile on my face… we get off the bus and as soon as we step foot unto Atlantic City Soil at Bally’s Hotel everyone received $20 for riding te bus.  Initially I thought it was a catch… but it wasn’t.  So all together I paid $13 round trip from NYC to Atlantic City… this I believe is one of New York’s best kept secrets.

p.s. No I didn’t win any money lollll
