Accessories Council: February Gift Picks

The accessories council hosted their annual Top Pick’s media event this past week.  I was one of the lucky 50 who got to attend and sample the items being presented.  From those items, I picked my favorites and am featuring them here.

Upon our arrival we were greeted with cocktails and frozen fruit that aroused our senses.  Don Q Rum was the official liquor sponsor, and they made these Limon madras cocktail mixed with cranberry juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and of course Don Q Limon rum.

Soft Serve Fruit Co. served the most perfectly delicious frozen treats.  They were so good I just ordered one as I am typing this post for delivery.  I am a huge fan of ice cream… so much so that I often crave it during the winter time.  I love the fact that this company delivers!!!!  The only bad thing is they only have 2 locations.  So unless you frequent Chelsea like myself, or on the Upper Westside… you have to make a trip in and visit.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Roman Sunstone bracelet for myself, but I can totally see one of my earthy/ low maintenance friends wearing this.  Note: Earthy/ Low Maintenance is not a bad thing… just like my personal style “Drag Queen Chic” is not either, lolll.  To each, his own. This is why I love the Accessories Council so much; they provide a variety of items for a range of taste.  The bracelets run $14 and can be found at romansunstone.come, Kohls, Peebles, and Shopko stores.

I don’t know if I would give Fresh Sugar Lip Polish as a Valentine’s Day gift… but I most certainly would buy it for myself, loll.  My lips get so extremely dry during winter… so I welcome any form of exfoliate to smooth out my lips.  I guess you could use this in preparation for your Valentine’s Day date OOoooWWWwww, loll. This polish can be found out Sephora for $22.50.

Who can go wrong with Godiva Truffles?!  When me and Mr. Bradshaw discuss relationships and dating… I often try to measure our dysfunctional friendship against couples in the movies.  So I often ask, “Why don’t you bring me flowers and candy like they do in the movie”?! loll

Attention Men:  When in doubt about what to purchase for Valentines… just go back to the basics, “flowers and candy”. When purchasing chocolates, Godiva is the gold standard.

I thought this was a pretty interesting item: Jing Ai Sierra Glow Duo Bronzer in Halo Sunset with Wildflower seed paper.

Essentially this is a bronzer, but the thin layer of protection paper is actually seed paper.  You can plant the seed paper in soil and grow flowers.  I thought that was so very interesting and unique.  Now on the flip side I am not sure this fits as a “Valentine’s Gift”, unless the person you are buying it for is already a fan of this brand.  I honestly thinking buying beauty products as a gift imply that there are imperfections and therefore you should not buy as gifts, but for your own personal use.

I found the Mavi Eyez Cufflinks to be another interesting item that was presented.  I actually have an “Evil Eye” above my door which is mainly where you find them out to protect the house.  I am not sure how I feel about them being worn as jewelry or given them as a gift.  I think I am going to ask my dad about this.  In any event, these cufflinks run $40, and can be purchased through their website at www.mavieye.com.

Ok, I absolutely loved the chicBuds Fauvette Gold Edition iPhone Earbuds!!!! Oh wait… I am wondering can I use these for an Android?!  In any event, these Earbuds are super sexy!!!  I would purchase these for any trendy female in your life.  They can be purchased for $29.99, available at chicbuds.com.

The Eberjey Lady Godiva nighties were nice.  They come in 5 different colors 5 colors: black, white, sorbet pink, pebble, and fuchsia.  The nighties are made of super soft jersey…89% modal/11% spandex jersey.  They price for $66 at eberjey.com.

Everyone whom I showed the Sprout watches to absolutely loved it!  Mr. Bradshaw actually gave this item to his daughter for her birthday.  I forgot to ask him if she liked it or not, but we all thought it was super girls and fun.  All of their watches are Made from 100% biodegradable corn resin, which uses no oil in production and will naturally biodegrade in a compost environment.  The watches retail for $75 and can be found at sproutwatches.com, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, and Nordstrom.

Marchon Eyewear boutique sells all of your favorite name brand eyeglasses.  All of the guess at the Accessory Council’s Valentine’s Top Picks were given a pair of Calvin Klein sunglasses that retailed for $140.  If you are in the market for top of the line eyewear please check out marchon.com.

Ok this has got to be one of my favorite items gifted at this event: Candy Store Cosmetic Mirror.  I received the hot pink which triggered all of my feminine senses and left me wanting more items from this company!  These mirrors retail for $13 and can be found at over 1000 retail locations in the US and Canada. More specifically, they are available in New York at Henri Bendel, Macy’s, and Ulta.

Last but not least, Baublebar.com Semi-precious stones.  All guest received the Aqua Boho drop earrings.  I actually have owned several pair of these exact same earrings… this proves how much I love them!!!  It’s something about the Aqua color that attracts me to them.  They retail for $28, and are sold exclusively at baublebar.com.

Well that concludes my top picks from the Accessories Council Valentine’s Event.  Let me know what you think of the items.
