Ports 1961 always a modern brand.  Whether through styling or design aspects the designer that helms at Ports 1961(which was the first that Fiona Cibali was able to serve as sole creative director at Lincoln Center) is always a step above allot of her similarly experienced counterparts.

The nude and tangerine colours, as well as the chic black pieces were all minimal with the maximum amount of gloss that lit up the runway every time one of the models hit the simple backed runway.  The thin belting, the ruched pant suits all unexpected.  The V-neck was a very apparent piece of the collection.  Although subtle it was very modern and forward though out each variation.  Also new to the design foray was the graphic print blocking.  Shown on long gowns and short dresses but nothing like you’ve seen before in either silhouette.

The best part of the Ports show was that everything was available in every way.  Whether you were a pant person or a short dress lady or a asymmetrical person that preferred no print, it was available.  I know the Ports customer, but when i think of one i have to ask who wouldn’t want to be one.  Forward, Modern, Secure and Aware who doesn’t want to be her and or marry her, clearly rhetorical.
