Brooklyn Couple Wins Big via Twitter

I know a lot of us are actively looking for love and the perfect mate, the ying to our yang, our Prince Charming… you get the picture. Brooklyn couple, Jamilah Lemieux (friend to KittyBradshaw.com) and David Giles,  found each other and proved to McDonald’s, Twitter & the World that have found their perfect match. 

McDonald’s launched a Perfect Pair Contest to blast off the national launch of the McCafé Frozen Strawberry Lemonade.  Consumers were asked to pair up and share why they are a perfect pair as the sweet strawberry and tart lemon in the new McCafé Frozen Strawberry Lemonade. Jamilah and David’s video  displayed how they are connected by both being from Chicago, their shared love of writing,  hair products and their skill for finishing each other’s sentences – and sandwiches – as proof that they are McDonald’s “Perfect Pair”.

Along with submitting a video, Jamilah and David also had to tweet themselves to victory.  McDonald’s asked couples to tweet their reason why they are the “Perfect Pair”.  The tweet that solidified their big win was tweeted by Jamilah: ” @davethepaxtons and I are the “perfect pair” because he is the sweet (heart) to balance out my tart.”  Out of 600 plus entries, the Brooklyn couple was chosen as the winners on June 24, 2011 and won $5,000 in cash and a $5,000 vacation voucher which they will split.  It’s good to see New Yorkers in love and happy. Congrats to Jamilah and David.
