In my opinion, The New Yorker is the Kim Kardasian of all magazines… cheap and of no real importance. I thought I’d never see the day!
Well, *shrugs* at least blacks have made great strides. We used to be Niggers and Nappy Headed Hoes now we been upgraded to terrorist and Nappy Headed Militants?! The New Yorker downgraded it’s worth to the level of The Enquirer…. and I will treat them just like any other garbage sold at the check out counter and ignore it.
There is no need for anyone to get worked up over this cover. It was a cheap, low class attempt to sell magazines. To think I once respected this publication; now it holds no more importance then the Scotts Toilet Paper I use to wipe my ass with. Actually the Scotts 2Ply holds a slight edge…
In any event regardless if you support McCain or Obama, as Americans we should all be offended. Don’t publish something as crude as this and hide behind the laws of “Freedom of Speech”.

what gets me is the New Yorker’s attempt at ’sarcasm’– they’re implying with this cover the concept that “oh, this is what the stereotypes and perceptions the racist media has about the Obamas, but not the way WE sophisticated city folk think of them, we have class enough to know better, but still lampoon it for the masses– GOTCHA!”– yet this pretentiousness from them is nothing new.
Obama’s campaign had the best response, stating that this cover was “in poor taste” and “offensive”. Let whitey publish crap like this and it makes it easier for black folk to maintain the high road. The 49% of Amerikkka who is dumb enough to vote for McCain will do it whether they see the cover to this rag or not.
