Smarter Commerce

Hey House Cats-

So if you watched the above video or read my Tweets… I announced that has entered into a partnership with IBM for their IBM Social Influencer Program.  Together we will spread the word about their new Smarter Commerce technology platform.  This technology  allows businesses to better service customer needs and put customers at the center of thier organization.  The platform allows brands like Nike, Sephora, BMW, Coca-Cola and Grey Goose to provide consumers with the best possible service, across social, digital, retail and mobile.  It is THE technology platform for the social media age.

IBM is hosting a panel discussion this March at South By Southwest, at which we will tell the story of Smarter Commerce from the consumer’s perspective – what it means to consumers like you and me to have brands put us at the center of their organization… how it impacts our li ves and our careers, what they should be doing differently, what we need as consumers, and more.

Between now and March, I along with 50 other Blogger will be leading the conversation on what Smarter Commerce means to us.  Specifically for me, as I stated in the video… I will be featuring four small businesses in New York and their connection to Smarter Commerce.  Small business in New York means everything to me.  The people and the businesses that they own are what makes New York special. New Yorkers give the city it’s charm with their no non-sense speak, their gritty accents, and the pride they have for the greatest city on earth.  Those attributes are something tourist could never get from larger corporations.  Those characteristics are what made me fall madly in love with this place… so much so that I left my beloved California.  Smarter Commerce helps bring spread the New York charm throughout the city and beyond.

Smarter Commerce

Below are four businesses that are engaged in Smarter Commerce.  Please join in on the conversation by helping me promote these businesses. You can use Social Media by tweeting  and/ or “LIKE” this post, tweeting to the below businesses, “LIKE” the above video, or liking the below businesses on their FaceBook pages.  Don’t forget to use the hashtag #SmarterCommerce and let them know that Kitty sent you :)

Kitty Bradshaw 2 Year Blogiversary Event

In honor of’s 2 Year Blogiversary, the Kitty Bradshaw is hosting a Bloggers Networking Event on June 29th. I have compiled my list of élite Bloggers to come together under one roof to network and exchange blogging tips.

This event started out when I found out Johnson & Johnson was looking for Bloggers to host mini parties in their homes.  The problem was The Kitty Bradshaw doesn’t do mini parties in my home, lolll.  I negotiated with JJ to expand their parameters for little ole me; after a month of going back and forth they agreed.  I am still bound by the rules of the Girl Talk Cause Party, which in tells I support a local charity by bringing awareness and/or raising money for a local charity.  I am allowed to bring in other sponsors (as long as they are not skin care… lotions, creams, vasoline, etc). All of the things that were extended to the smaller parties are also extended to me on a larger scale to accommodate my guest. Johnson & Johnson is the title sponsor for my event.

Honestly, I DON’T think that Johnson & Johnson is doing this to promote their already established household brands. I think they created this campaign to give back and bring awareness to local charities.  The Kitty Bradshaw is all about giving back… so and Johnson & Johnson coming together to do an event is a very good fit.  Not to mention, I actually use JJ products.  I like to use their baby care products.  Yea don’t judge me, but the baby care products are very gentle on my skin. I especially like the baby cologne, lollll.  Everytime I show one of my friends the bottle of baby cologne and they smell it… they go crazy.  It smells like baby powder with a sexy edge.  You all should try it… it’s unisex.

Thanks to the ladies at the APART Showroom, they introduced me to Stephanie from Lower Eastside Service Center/Angel Thrift Shop.  The LESC raises money to fund programs benefiting individuals and families affected by Substance Abuse, HIV/AIDS and Mental Illness.  In honor of the JOHNSON’S®  Girl Talk Cause Campaign, we will be partnering with the Lower Eastside Service Center/Angel Thrift Shop. We will be raffling off various items donated by participating sponsors.  Guest will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for $5 during the event.

As I mentioned before, the event will be held at the APART Fashion Showroom… one of the most awesome showrooms in New York.  It’s multi levels complete with a bar/ kitchen.  I think my guest will be amazed when they walk through the doors…

APART wants their customers to associate their brand with being sleek, fashion-forward yet classic. They provide looks for your real life and styles for your personal runway: whether that includes making a stiletto sprint to the office or that trip to the farmer’s market.

Signature blogger themed cocktails sponsored by Smirnoff Vodka.  Smirnoff will be providing assorted flavors of their Signature Vodka.  The bartenders and I will get together to come up with some Blogger inspired cocktails.

Nina Shoes fall line will be on display for all the fashion bloggers to get a sneak peek.  Matthew, from Nina Shoes will be on hand to show off Nina’s fall line, and to talk to the Fashion Bloggers about current shoe trends and how Nina Shoes is reaching out further into Social Media.  You can also see Nina Shoes on the APART Blogger Models.

Cabot Creamery will be sampling a tasty variety of their “World’s Best Cheddar”. My personal favorite is the Horseradish flavor.  OH EM GEE, so damn tasty!  I can’t imagine my sandwiches without it.  Cabot has been the go-to brand for fine cheddar since 1919, they are based out of Vermont.  Not to mention they have some of the nicest people working for them.

Fact: Did you all know in 1930 cows outnumbered people?!  You learn something new everyday on

FSL Cosmetics is donating makeup gift bags fort he charity raffle.  They will also be make-up you see on our APART Blogger Models.  FSL Cosmetics uses high-quality botanicals to help improve the skin’s current condition.  FSL incorporates exotic fruits, vitamins, and antioxidants to help protect the skin from harsh elements.

Mini Mani’s sponsored by Priti Nails. Known among beauty insiders as the pioneering leader in luxury and eco-friendly nail polish. The luxury polishes are fast drying, chip resistant, contain a UV inhibitor, and are extremely durable and glossy. They are also completely safe for use on children and moms-to-be.

A compilation of NYC hotspots covered in the pages of Time Out New York. TONY is the great New York magazine. As a blogger, I read TONY to stay current on all the events taking place in the city.  Everytime I pick up an issue of Time Out New York, it reminds me of why I love New York so much.  TONY is the New Yorker’s bible to all things hip in NYC.

Tonnie’s Minis is sponsoring cupcakes for the guest.  Tonnie is on a level of his own, crafting unique recipes developed with celebrity clientel and baked with love.  Fans of Tonnie’s flock to his Greenwich Village flagship store for his signature “Carrot Dream” and “Death by Chocolate” cupcakes.
