Jill Zarin for Kodak Gallery
So, last week I was invited by Kodak to attend the Jill Zarin event. Mrs. Zarin is the new spokesperson for Kodak Gallery; this party was to kick off the partnership. *sighs* I really wanna get invited by Kodak to attend future events, but it is not in my nature to sugarcoat anything.
First off, I wanna say that Kodak knows how to throw a wonderful party! Drinks were flowing and appetizers were in tasty, continuous, rotation. To be honest, I am not so sure I would have picked Jill Zarin as the spokesperson. Kodak should have picked an up and coming model… someone who travels a lot or one of the Kardashian sisters, loll. Like, who really is checking for Jill Zarin?! loll.
Well, I guess for now they are stuck with Jill… Jill Zarin was nice enough. To be honest, I had never watched the Housewives of New York. This was my first glimpse into the lives of the NYC housewives. Despite being pulled in every direction, Jill made time to speak with most everyone in the room.
The problem with the party was the physical taping of the of The Real Housewives of New York. It destroyed the party! There were camera crews stepping over you to tape the conversations of the ladies. It turned the makings of the perfect party into a circus. I just sat on the couch, and observed the chaos.
Then, just when the room stabilized, the bottom fell out when two of the housewives had a brief heated argument in the middle of the party (all made for TV of course). How tres de classe of them! The old woman, who started the argument, carried herself like Kim Novak of Atlanta Housewives.
Like, where is your self-respect at? Are these women that hard up for money, that they would make fools of themselves in public?! I know it’s all for good ratings, but that fight should have taken place and/or have been filmed in the bathroom… somewhere other than the party.
I walked away from the party being both embarrassed and mortified for the Kodak brand. Apologies should have been offered to the guest in the least, now that’s real class.
