There was a strong sense of futurism with Falguni and Shane Peacock’s Spring/Summer collection adorned with intricate patterns of neon colors and designs pulled straight from the pages of your favorite Sci-Fi novel.

An intergalactic explosion of colors, the remnants quietly resting on the body suits and dresses of the collection. The collection was indulgent in geometric forms and distorting the palette that is the conventional cocktail dress, gowns and staples in the feminine wardrobe. The push to transform such pieces into avant-grade pieces of work is translucent in the collection’s beauty. Adam Lambert front row, eye contact made with fellow blogger Jamal from Style Society Guy, camera ready, now time for the show.

As the initial pieces of the collection made their way onto the runway, the lights dimmed as the models positioned themselves as fixtures on the catwalk, turning and flamboyantly displaying their ensembles to the crowd. Adorned with helmet like crowns transparent, revealing the intense demeanor and gaze of each model’s face. Amazed by the presentation, I knew Falguni and Shane Peacock would deliver and that they did. Each piece of the collection were innocent bystanders of an atomic explosion creating patterns that were both of an mosaic and collage pretense, but constructed enough to break any lineation formed on the dresses and gowns shown.

Truly pieces of art, with finely tailored dresses of with images of space shuttle launches, landscape intricacy and pattern blending sure to catch the eye of any fashionista. The majority of the collection consisted of stunning visuals that were more than a wardrobe but an aesthetically visually pleasing series of women’s wear.

The collection was more than I could ever expect, the consistency in theme and presentation was more than I could ask for. The most intriguing aspect of the collection was the immense focus placed on the central area of the garment, where each pattern and graphic was strategically placed in the center of the piece. Logistical designing, precious in an age of intense detail appreciation.

The geometry within this collection is stunning. The length of the hemlines used is refreshing and not typical which is fantastic yet tailored well enough that at no time does the model appear short or stocky. The high amount of detail both within the digital imaging on the fabric and the tailoring are evident. Garments such as these would have to be seriously regarded by stylists for their A list clients, the intricate beadwork on what appears to be soft mesh is exquisite and would pick up incredible light on the red carpet. Great runway review!

I agree, this was one of the many shows I enjoyed the week of the S/S NYFW. I am honestly amazed by your critique as it is one of the more extensive yet accurate responses I have ever received on one of my reviews on the site. I enjoyed reading this and I am proud to know someone happened to read the review and felt the need to respond, in the matter of their own taste. Blessings, VIC. 🙂

I just fell in love with each and every dress, especially the peplum dress. I’m not the type of girl to usually wear dresses, but I’d wear these any day.
