R.I.P. 2pac (1971-1996): 12 Year Anniversary

September 13, 2008

If 2pac were alive and running for president today he would of at least won the state of California.  I don’t think New Yorkers understand how much us California folks LOVE 2pac!  He did more then rap he involved himself into the community.  One of my last memories of him was listening to him on the local radio station talking about all the charitable plans he had plan to do around the city of Los Angeles, and he said it with such fire… kinda like a thug version of Obama.  It was more then just talk he was out there actually doing it.

He is the greatest Rapper of all time in my opinion.  No one can ever be on his level.  I wish he was around today Jay Z wouldn’t be on the thrown… 50 and him would be beefin… Biggie would be beefing with Puffy and eventually shelved like the rest of Puffy’s acts.

Hell who am I kidding… if Pac hadn’t of died in ‘96 he would of been dead in 2000, if not 2000, then 2003.  He was so big you couldn’t contain him… and to some if you can’t contain them you try and kill them.  Suge Knight bka the Lee Harvey Oswald of my generation.

Below is a poem I found on MySpace by this young dude.  Click on the poem to enlarge

Now, this video is straight up disrespect to the East Coast mainly New York which is one of the many reason I think New Yorkers don’t hold him on a higher pedistal then Biggie but *shrugs* I am going to post it any way. P.S. This video makes me home sick!

I LOVE You Pac!  When I have kids Tuesday’s and Thursday’s will be 2Pac day and we will only play your music!  I will never forget you!
