Local Business Spotlite: Nina Shoes

I decided to do my own Nina Shoes Poster, lolll.  You guys think my poster can compete with theirs?

Dear Nina Shoes:  Please don’t put a hit out on me for coming up with my “Hooker Chic Paper Doll Poster” lollll.

I like these Dyo Electra  shoes so much I felt inspired to piece together an outfit on my paper doll… but *sighs* it was harder than I thought.  In any event, I think these shoes are FABULOUS!

So here is the deal, The Kitty Bradshaw, entered a contest on Princess Dominique.com and won!!!  I am the owner of a brand new shinny pair of Nina Dyo Electra shoes.

While registering to win the contest, I found out that Nina Shoes is a New York based shoe company.  Through Twitter, I was able to track down their social media rep and drill him with questions about the company.  I learned that…

Company Overview

Nina Shoes was started in 1953 by Mike and Stanley Silverstein.  “Something borrowed, something blue, something new, and Nina Shoes”. They started out in a small loft on Prince Street, and grew into the go-to trusted shoe source for brides everywhere!    Nina Shoes, named after Stanley’s first daughter, didn’t start out making bridal shoes… their first popular pair of footwear were “Clogs”.  Although the shoes are produced elsewhere, every single pair of Nina Shoes are designed here in New York City.  Currently, Nina main showroom is located in Union Square.

So, the kind people at Nina Shoes provided me with some behind the scenes pictures.  Lets all drool over the pictures together.

When I die, my urn should have a place next to the stars…. SHOES!

Before visiting Princess Dominique.com, I didn’t know Nina Shoes had a website, or that you could customize your shoes with over 2 million shoe possibilities.
