Why is love intensified in the morning?
You either wake up crying or emerge joyous…
And at night when everything is shrouded by dark
it marinates in your soul… festers like a Cancer
it grows…
Love seeps into your dreams
an inner thirst played out on the mental big screen
all the characters in place, a scripted happy ending
Love feels in the blanks…
And when you wake up it’s either a dream come true
or a nightmare continuing to happen
Hmmm, it’s a wonder why I am not a morning person…

I love this track. My emotions range from fond to excited when I hear it. Funny how art affects people so differently. I have always loved the name Naima–which is the name I want to give my daughter. Guess I should find her ‘mother’ first.
Coltrane does that to you though. Like when Obama got elected, I put on Central Park West and listened to it the entire next day. Ecstasy to say the least.
