I am content
Not in love, not in like
Peaceful not quite serene
My head is on straight
My heart is grounded
possibly extra guarded
I am happy, thinking straight,
and can chew bubble gum at the same time.

Not in love, not quite like
I am somewhere in between,
going north, west, east, south
Who knows?!
What I have is functional
something that feels natural
Organic from the earth
Not complicated, sometimes stress
…even Gardeners experience bad weather.

Not in love, way past like
It feels good to experience real genuine warmth
…I don’t want it to stop
He is my season, or maybe my lifetime
not in love, a glimpse of a possible Mr. Right…
