Kitty Ebert Reviews The Movies: Sisterhood & Mummy

August 16, 2008

So this past weekend I took myself out on a date… *shrugs* I figured if I am going to be taken to a fast food restaurant on a date I mine as well take my damn self.  Due to the fact that I loved Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 1 (SOTTP), I figured *shrugs* why not…

Now imma tell yall the honest to God truth on this movie.  I enjoyed this movie wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more then Sex in the City.  I know its hard to believe right?!  This movie had real growth and I was very entertained throughout the film.  This movie was everything Sex in the City wasn’t.  I give this movie on a “Chick Flick” scale an A-.

After the movie was over I took myself home.  I know I know I said I was going to go to a fast food restaurant but truth of the matter is I don’t eat after 6pm, loll.  It was a Friday night and all I could think about was going home and getting in my bed.

So Sunday my girl Nish ask me on a date, loll…. (it was a girl power date you perves!)

So we go to see The Mummy 3.  I liked it as well.  It wasn’t overly violent and it followed the same formula of the original two.  Not much really to talk about here but ill give it a C+.  No real growth just more of the same but I liked the change of pace from Egypt to China.  THe fighting scenes were good.

I was thinking about seeing SOTTP, but I need to watch #1. NurseFAB said that #1 was good, so with your saying that #2 was better than seeing the drama unfold between Carrie Bradshaw and BIG, I’m all over it!

hubbyFAB and I saw the Mummy. I liked it, but it was not “to die for”. And I miss the lady that was the original wife.
