Hewlett Packard Instant Ink Service- No more trips to the Store
Best Buy and Hewlett Packard have partnered together to provide printer customers with a service that up until now, had only been provided for office copy machines. The Hewlett Packard Instant Ink Service begins with a monthly service plan, a printer, and a software program. As you produce jobs from your all-in-one, your printer not only monitors your ink, but also place an order for it as your supply runs low. No more running to your local office supply store, or placing orders and having to wait for your ink to arrive. Once your ink level hits a certain point, the order is placed so that none of your jobs are put on hold. I was provided with the HP Envy 5530, and 6 months complementary Hewlett Packard Instant Ink Service in order to review and intelligently discuss the product.
I know there are a great deal of you that buy your ink in bulk, and let your supplies sit until you are ready to use them. What most people don’t pay attention to is the expiration dates placed on the ink cartridges. Yes, just like can goods and dairy products- your ink expires even if placed in the machine. It begins to dry out, which causes you to get less pages printed. The Instant Ink Service eliminates this disaster from happening. Cartridges are sent to you as you need them, and not a drop more.
How does HP make sure you’ll always have ink?
Your printer uses the Internet to let us know when to send more ink.
Here’s how you can get all the ink you need, delivered to your door.
1. Purchase an eligible printer and an enrollment kit.
2. Enroll online.
Ink, shipping and cartridge recycling are included.
3. HP will mail you special HP Instant Ink cartridges.
Instant Ink cartridges have more ink than standard HP ink cartridges, so you’ll replace them less often.
4. Billing and service start after you insert you first HP Instant Ink cartridge.
5. Your printer will tell HP when to send ink.
Your service is not based on how many cartridges you use, so print as many high-quality photos as you like.
You’ll always have ink before you need it.1
The Hewlett Packard Instant Ink Service Plans begin at $2.99 on up to $9.99 for heavy use. As a blogger, my needs are more suited for the $4.99 plan, as I am always printing branded materials such as business cards, fliers and brochures for gift bags. Although, I do have periods when I am not printing, when I do get around to using my all-in-one, I need for it to be ready to go without any hiccups.
Overall, I do recommend this service. The Hewlett Packard Instant Ink Service did save time, and also money (as not only do I wait until my ink runs out… I also wait until I find cartridges go on sale). Once I did the math, I found that although I hate subscription services this did benefit my business. Now that I have the Instant Ink Service in place, I now have one less thing to worry about in regards to my home office. Hopefully this can lighten your load as well.
