Los Angeles: Glazed Donut Bistro @Donuts4GrownUps

Glazed Donut Bistro 2

Apparently, today is National Donut Day…. which oddly enough coincides with D-Day (a day that should be remembered all on its own).  Even more strange, I had planned on featuring Glazed Donut Bistro  today without prior knowledge of the holiday.  In any event, the stars are aligned and it is was meant for me to talk about donuts on National Donut Day.

Let me start by saying that I am not really a sweets person per se.  As a child, I wasn’t fed a lot of desserts. Once I transitioned into adulthood, I never picked up the habit and rarely crave sweets.  Don’t get me wrong, I do love a good dessert.  I only really reach out for sweets when I am growing tired of the savory dishes.  Please, trust and believe that when I take the time to write about sweet snacks, they are beyond exceptionally good.

I stumbled upon Glazed Donut Bistro by accident after completing my treatment at the spa next door to it.  This close to summer, no one really indulges in carbs, but I blame the marketing and branding that lured me in.  Once inside, I spent about 10 minutes looking over the place hoping to find fault to give me the excuse to walk out.  Unfortunately, for my hips and thighs I found no flaws what-so-ever during my visit.  When visiting food establishments, prior to eating the food, I observe the process.  I am the person that looks through glass dividers, cubby holes, and the briefly opened doors to see the cleanliness, the production, and the passion of the chefs involved.  The cosmic energy flowed positively at Glazed Donut Bistro.  The staff was very connected and stayed present during my visit.

Glazed Donut Bistro has something for everyone; I can almost gurantee that there is at least one donut that you will fall head over heels in love with.  For me it was the Blueberry Lemonade Donut.  Sounds kinky right?  I feel as if they made that donut especially for my eccentric taste buds.  I can not give you an honest review of any other donut, because I was so enamored with my Blueberry Lemonade Donut.  They had other donuts such as their version of the Cronut (something I have never been a fan of), Creme Brulee, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Bacon, Tripple Chocolate, Tres Leches, and Fried Chicken Beignets to name a few.

I recommend you go to Glazed Donut Bistro, and find the donut that resonates with you and your allotted daily calorie count the most.  While there, also try the Salted Caramel Espresso.  This particular caffeine treat sent me over the moon and back with a need to go run a 5k race afterwards, lolll.  Ohhhh how I love my caffeine.

Whenever I am in the area I will definitely give those donuts a try. Yesterday went into Starbucks and I asked for an old fashion donut. And the cashier said, this is free National Donut Day. I was stoked. Great post by the way.
