The Camry Hybrid was the second vehicle that Danyelle and myself got to test drive. This time around we got to ride along with Rebecca Lynn from Team Toyota. We cruised around the streets of Torrance, CA in the completely overhauled vehicle. Toyota listened to its customers, critics, analyst, and created this very special vehicle ranked in the top 10 among the most affordable midsized vehicles. In addition, this vehicle ranks high in reliability and safety… which is something I definitely need living in New York.
Now please note, I have never owned a hybrid… so I find it very interesting that this car functions/ transitions on both gas, and electrical power. Actually, this was my first time riding in a Hybrid… I didn’t notice any major differences. The ride was generally smooth, and when we made a wrong turn we were able to use the vehicles navigational system. Additional features added to the 2012 Camry was more trunk space, and added horsepower. I know this may sound crazy, but for this to be a midsized car… I sorta felt like I was riding in a big SUV. For those of us who like the allure of larger vehicles… this might be an interesting alternative. The 2012 Camry is very spacious… I didn’t feel cramped with three people riding in the car. The 2012 Camry Hybrid also boast upgraded interior materials. I didn’t realize people pay attention to that type of stuff… I guess my only concern is, “Does it run when I stick the key in the ignition”?! lolll.
Another great feature that I noticed while riding in this car was that it was extremely quiet! It was so quiet, we didn’t even realize the car was turned on at first. I have never ridden in such a quiet car. Like it was so quiet… if someone were to steal the car out of your garage you wouldn’t hear them leaving, lolll. *thinkin* Wait… is that a good thing or a bad thing?! Hmmm, I say buy this car if you have at least a family of 3. Based on the size, I would recommend this car for New Yorkers. With all of our many space restraints with living in the city… this would be the largest we could get away with before having to pay for specialized parking.
