All weekend I wore clothing from Gap. Thanks to Gap Marketing, I was able to pick up a few core pieces (on their dime) that I was able to interchange, mix and mingle with already existing pieces in my closet.

I like items that I can feel comfortable and confident in. I also like bright colors, with a preppy feel.

Anyways, below you will find some of the items I wore.

This past Saturday there was a Thriller Dance Reinactment in Times Square right in front of the Red Stairs. It was about 10 people who participated and an additional 100 people who showed up to watch… The Kitty Bradshaw showed up rehearsed, but chickened out, lolll.

Below are a couple of the people who went all out and dressed up and performed.

The Full Figured Fashion Shopping Event bought in some really good vendors, they were all so very friendly! I got a chance to meet with them all and get a sense of the products they had to share. Below you will find some of the highlights:

Sherisa of L’elephant Rose (www.lelephantrose.net) sales amazing Jewelry pieces. Her earrings are eyecatching and well crafted. She is based out of New York and will be updating KittyBradshaw.com on her upcoming events. You guys have to check her out!

Vedette Scott of www.Vendettescott.com makes Jewelry and Full Figured Fashions.

I had the pleasure of trying on several of her pieces and she had these Designer Ponchos (not to be confused w/ the one Ugly better Wears) that are really cute. I could see myself wearing them in the Fall. I had already been Eye Balling them in Macy’s but she carries her own line of them.

AnnMarie of www.HeartsDesireJewlery.com sales the most awesome Earrings and Necklaces. Her pieces represent different styles… she even had a Turquoise Necklance that was very beautiful. I really have my heart set on some Earring Drops.

Lisa of Amazon Barbie (www.AmazonBarbi.etsy.com) sales one of a kind Earrings, Headbands, and Rings.

I have my heart set on this Lavendar and Gold Bobble Ring. Her pieces are both colorful and delicate at the same time! I am hoping I can catch her at another show soon so I can get my ring! :)

A

Danielle of Annie Mae’s (www.AnnieMaesCheeseCakes.com) makes Cakes, Cheesecakes, Cookies, and Cupcakes.

I forgot to go back to her booth to try her goodies but everyone whom I conversed with raved about her cookies and cupcakes. They looked really good, so good I started taking pictures, loll. She had cookies shaped like Purses and Shoes. I am definitely going to cross paths with Danielle again!

main_products
Cathy of Pooka (www.pookapureandsimple.com) sales Body Soaps, Scrubs and Body Scents.

The scents smell devine! Please check out the Coconut Crunch or the Pomegranate Body Polish. There was another scent that I found good but for the life of me I can not remember the name, lolll. Hmmm, I should of written it down. In any event Cathy is based out of New York and her rep number is #1082.

Full Figured Fashion Week Day 1

This past Friday and Saturday I had the opportunity to attend 2 events for Full Figured Fashion Week. The press event was the main event that I attended, and I wasn’t pleased at all. Before I even go in on this event let me give my readers a little background.

The purpose of a press event is to meet the Models and Designers. Regardless if it’s a Fashion Show, or A Fashion Week, Anorexic or Full Figured… a press event is suppose to showcase the Designers and their Fashions. The press comes and meets with the Designers and Models for interview and to take pictures. Overall, we are there to get a sense of the collection.

Upon my arrival, it was made clear that I was not to be given a Press Badge because I was a “Blogger”.

Last time I checked the voice of the “Blogger” is what helped Obama get put in office. Most “Bloggers” that I know, write for major publications. “Bloggers” get sponsored by major companies for Advertising. “Bloggers” are the reason Newspaper and Magazine Sales are down. “Bloggers” have a voice that can reach more people at a faster rate.

I’ve never been so offended. Kitty Bradshaw.com and staff has received press credentials for higher caliber events then this and treated with more respect. I am not saying roll out the red carpet and kiss my ass… What I would have liked to see happen is when I requested press access, the powers that be (the ones who were concerned about Bloggers having a press badge) checked my site for credibility. They could of also requested stats to find out my monthly traffic rate to my site. Had they of taken those steps that would of known that I am the Upper Echelon of Bloggers.

Lastly, separating myself from the disaster at the door… the event was all wrong. Every press event I have ever attended was presented in a well lit Venue. The models are groomed and briefed on how to work a room. The designers featured in the show are always in attendance… *sighs* Why am I wasting key strokes on this….

Moral of the story, don’t piss off the press….

On a more positive note, thank you to Johara of LuvinMyCurves.com and Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista for being a more professional and courteous aspect to this event.

I will do another post on the Full Figured Fashion Week Shopping Event.

Bad Behavior has blocked 525 access attempts in the last 7 days.
