I am one of the few who didn’t go take of advantage of going out of business deals at Circuit City.   However, as I was passing the now defunct store in Union Square (NYC) I realized that an era was over.

I took a brief moment to pause and think about how I used to go to the Downtown Compton Circuit City as a child with my grandmother. Or how I purchased a SD card from the Beltsville, MD one 2 years ago….

Circuit City was really over priced… but for some strange reason I always ended up at one browsing and/ or window shopping.

Now Circuit City falls in the field of battle along with Zoddies, May Company, and all those other stores you remember as a child coming up.

*pours a little Slurpee out for the stores who aren’t here*

In parting, am I the only one who is surprised K-Mart is still in business?! lollll

Chez Lucienne

By Saturday (the 8th and final day of the Flu) I could not handle being in the house one more day! I emerged, pale… my skin deprived of natural sunlight.  My appetite still not back but a craving for chocolate cake… so I went to Chez Lucienne for Brunch.  Chez Lucienne is the new “IT” restaurant in Harlem, and I promise you every good looking French Man in the state of New York work’s there.  This was my 2nd time there… the first time I forgot to review the food, I was too busy looking at the men! loll

I may be in a relationship but I’m not blind! lolll

So this time I remembered to take pictures (sorta) and observe the environment.  I had the Salmon in Puff Pasty Shell… it was tasty.  It was something different.

note: I was so busy being a flirty kitty with the waiting staff I forgot to take a picture of the main course, lolll

Forget the food, let’s get back to the Men… Every time I go there I learn a new name! This week was David… nice looking young man with a sexy accent.  Next time I go back I am going to learn the name of the black man with the short dreads an hazel eyes (for you regulars, yall know who I am talking about!!!). He works the night shift lolll He makes me wanna go take a French for Dummies Class lolll

I am trying to get my roomy who speaks french a 2nd job there lolll

So as David was telling me how good his Chocolate Souffle is, with his French accent… the people on my left  started talking about me. They were whispering, side eying me, and giggling!!!!  So I am sitting there an I am like I wanna laugh too, so I shoed David away!  THen I went on to create some laughs…I took pictures of them for my website so we can all laugh at them! *insert side eye here*

haters

Ok, so overall this restaurant was good!  I definitely recommend New Yorkers give it a try…. the prices are not to expensive and the service is good!

Ok so I was sick still last Friday but I rustled up the strength after my 2nd Hospital visit to go to the Barbie event at Sephora on 5th Avenue.  I promise I held my breath and didn’t breath on anyone while I was there for a complete 10 minutes!  I took pictures for yall and got my Black Barbie collector’s can.

I was a little disappointed at the Black Barbie they chose to use… I wish they would of used one of the Byron Lars dolls instead of the homey looking one!  *shrugs* Well, I can remember a time when the Black Barbies weren’t even used in campaigns so I guess I am happy for the step forward!

sick-cat

Kitty Bradshaw was sick with the Flu/Bug all last week.  I have never taken so many days off work… I actually felt guilty not being at work.  I dragged myself in last Wednesday and they Quarantined me to my office.  So I took the rest of the week off :(   I was actually happy to go back to work… I hated laying in bed all day sick!  That’s probably why it lasted so long because I was trying to fight it instead of getting rest.

I spent my days watching Maury give out paternity results. Although it was entertaining on the first day… it sucked be bed ridden, too weak to lift my head!  Wait I watched General Hospital too… why didn’t anyone tell me Jax and Carley got back together?! *sighs* Thank God… I feel much, much better!

Dine-In Brooklyn 2009 restaurant list

Brooklyn is holding their restaurant week from March 23- April 2.

About 200 restaurants will offer three-course menus for $23. Some will actually double the savings, with “two-fer” brunches, lunches and dinner, where the $23 covers the meal for two people.
Tax, tip and drinks cost extra. And Borough President Marty Markowitz “reminds everyone to be generous and properly tip their wait staff.”

Click here for a complete list of participating restaurants.
